Earlier this week a long time client came to me and asked "Robert, I am so tired of being ripped off by these people and businesses claiming what they do is going to save me or change me and all they end up doing is taking my money. What can I do to stop this?"
This is a long time problem. From the days of snake oil salesman to P.T.Barnums motto of a sucker is born every minute.There have been people trying to sell one magical thing or another. This behavior has been one of the major reasons that the metaphysical field has remained in the shadows.It is just about completely out of the shadows and headed toward main stream. Unfortunately the charlatans are still there.
One of the best way to protect your self from these predators is by thinking before you buy anything. Give yourself time to try to completely understand the concept presented. Allot of things sound great up until you actually think it through. Give yourself time to cool down never make a decision in the heat of the presentation. Many times our enthusiasm gets in the way of our processing and gets us in trouble.
Check out your instructor, practitioner or vendor. If they say their product clears your skin, but they have zits all over their face the stuff apparently didn't work. It could be that they don't even want to use it themselves.
Be sure to check out the instructor of any class you take, make sure they walk their talk. If they can't do it, how can they teach you? Exp; there was this woman that was extremely defensive, and self centered and she was teaching how to stay in happiness even when things are bad. She apparently could do it herself. There was also I guy I met who only did his "finding your prosperity" class at the second week of the month, so he can pay for the room with his welfare check. If he needs public assistance how is he going to teach you how to get prosperity.
Many energy workers believe that their modality will change the world. But if you look at them you will find allot of them are the same just packaged and titled different don't pay big money for something you can get for less or for free.
Most practitioners are really charged up about their product. But many times they are fooling themselves too. Take your time, think it through and make informed cool headed decisions. If you do that you will be enlightened instead of your bank account.

I would like you all to join me in saying good bye to Marcus Calligaro. If you have never met him he is the tall guy that looks a little like "Lurch" from the Addams Family Show in the sixties.
Marcus has decided that with his new travel business(more about that below) and his upcoming humanitarian trip to India he will have to leave S.F.C for a while. I am saddened by this because there is no one more fun to crack on than Marcus. Also I have allot of great material worked out to use on him.
Meet Brenda Rhobard she is Marcus' replacement and although I don't know very well personally. I feel like she is going to be a great addition to S.F.C so when you see her just give her a big sloppy kiss hello ( I guess a wave or a handshake would be ok)
There are always new things going on at the Spiritual Fitness Center and I will keep you up to date as they arise. |
| 2012 |
Well we had or first monthly panel discussion. This one as i am sure you heard was on the world changes coming by 2012. We had Paul Carlson explaining the impact Deeksha would have on the world.Then we had Kellye Magbee talking about her role in 2012 of helping people to get to the new dimension. Ginger Tidrow explained what her destiny cards were saying about it and about numerology and what information she could get from there. Everyone seemed was fascinated By reverend Chuck Murphy's talk about the even from a scientific point of view. Then our Samantha Lawrence Key told us all about what the native American and the Kahunas of Hawaii thought on the subject and their suggestions for survival (collect seeds). I of course put my two sense in from time to time. Everyone said they had a great time and they were looking forward to the next one.
All in all it was a great night. I hope you weren't one of those that missed it.

Our next discussion is on the paranormal from the ghost investigation point of view.
We will have some researchers from professional paranormal investigation companies. You will see pictures and hear stories of investigations and get your questions answered about phenomenon that you may have experienced or things you wonder about concerning spirits and spirit occupation. so plan to be at the Spiritual Fitness Center Thursday June 28th at 7:30 pm for a night of spooks and fascination. The second series is rollin people are picking up the techniques and shocking themselves on their natural ability. So making good on the promise I made to the people that have trouble getting to the class. I have captured the course on CD.I have already gotten excellent feed back from those that pre ordered.

| A day of No Gas Buying? Whats the Point? |
This thing is going all around the net saying not to buy gas
on May 15, and I ask what good that's going to do.
A person decides they're not going to buy gas on that
day so they fill up on on the 14th and wait to buy
again until the 16th... so they're still buying gas.
Why not work on actually changing things?
Why not actually do something that means something?
Why not decide not to buy gas at all?
There's an idea.
Commit to:
* Ride your bike
* Walk
* Use vegetable based cleaning products instead of petrol
based
* Change your light bulbs to florescent
* Turn off lights
* Shift your vehicle to alternative energy
* Buy an alternative energy vehicle
... and so on...
If you make these changes then the need for petrol is
reduced and then you've actually done something.
Boycotting for a day is worthless though.
Here's info off the back of a Seventh Generation laundry

... that's from just one bottle used by each person.
What could be done with complete
change in purchase?
Think about it this is a way to do your part for change .
Another possabilty is if everyone refused to buy gas from the biggest company like Exxon and mobile. Then eventually this may force Exxon /mobile to drop prices. Eventually force the other to drop theirs too.
Maybe this would help.
Or I guess we can sit back, be good drones and watch gas go up and up. We may even be able to make a game out of predicting how much it will go up in a week.

| A Realization |
 |
We all have heard that a positive attitude will change your life for the better. I have heard people complaining that they are still going through problems and hardships even though they are staying as positive as they possibly can. They worry that what they are doing may be for nothing and they begin to lose faith in their beliefs.
Before I got into the metaphysical field I was a drug dealer among other things and lived in a way that was far from positive. In those days I took pride in my strength, toughness and ability to navigate in this lawless, violent and unpredictable environment. I lived always suspecting friends and family of treachery. I expected even the most loyal of friends to betray me and usually wasn't disappointed. I lived externally with little regard for life or honor. I used to boast that I had slots in my life for three friends and the slots were never full.
When I started this journey out of that way of life, I was compelled to develop and follow a code of ethics. I vowed to always value integrity over money or material gain. I have joked many times that although I make a fair living I could make a lot more money if I was a crook.
Over time I have endured as many of us have, broken marriages, deaths, and losses too many to list. Too many times to count I have screamed into my hands in frustration and despair. I thought over and over how much easier it would be to just go back to what I was, taking what I wanted with no thought of anything but selfish attainment.
It has been more then twenty four years since I began the journey out the darkness of my former life. My code of ethics, my ability and commitment to help people through hard times, became a life line that has saved me many times over.
Recently it has been proven to me that I am following the right path. Now when I look at my friends instead of treachery and suspicion I see integrity, sensitivity and openness. Instead of fighting and dealing I get to spend my life helping people that are genuinely wanting to grow and change their lives and lives of those around them.
This week, I have seen people stand up and genuinely show they care in a situation that they could have easily ignored. The fact that I am associated with this type of people proves this path with all its challenges and pain in the past and in the future is the right path for me.
Changing your focus in life isn't easy and doing so must happen on many levels to be a true life change.
All life is a creation, from the way we handle our occupations and relationships to how we contribute to our community and the world. There are no victims, just people with challenges. If you want to be sure that you are on the right path. You first have to realize that your path is unique to you, not to be patterned after anyone else. Then you need to look around and take notice of what and who is around you. That will be your mirror. There will always be treachery and deceit in the world. It is up to you if you want to be part of it.
